Who we are...
Established in 1982, Berkshire Dance Theatre, Inc. is a 501c-3
non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the joy of dance, music
and art to our surrounding community.
We want our students to acquire a love for dance and music that will
last a lifetime. We aim to develop the mind and body while we kindle
the imagination, develop coordination, encourage a confident and
outgoing personality, increase balance, and improve reflexes.
We consider the study of ballet to be the essential foundation for all
other dance forms. Therefore, to aid advancement in all disciplines,
we strongly recommend that all students enroll in a ballet class
beginning at age 6. As students progress through a planned
curriculum of study, a mastery of ballet technique is essential to
advancement in all disciplines.
The program at BDT is a progressive one that continually builds on
skills and experiences acquired in the previous level. The age listed
for each class is the minimum for participation. Students are most
successful when they start at the beginning of the appropriate
program and work their way through it according to their individual
readiness and ability.

Nia returns to BDT on Mondays with Diane Firtell! 6 week session from February 1st-March 15th (no class on 2/15) Choose 5:00-6:00 pm or 6:30-7:30pm Diane will also be offering a Floor Exercise class from 6:00-6:30pm. It makes a great addition to your Nia workout! Join the party on Thursdays - Zumba is now at BDT! Try something new with certified teacher, Kimberly Ciola!
